Last night we hosted a workshop with Sisterhood as the center idea from which to let our scribbling run amuck.
“Sisterhood is the essence of all the wisdom of the ages distilled into a single word. You cannot see sisterhood - neither can you hear it nor taste it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day.” // Anonymous ”
The idea that women are both profoundly the most supportive and dynamic workhorse to propelling others - as they are to ripping them down. There are no teenage years in which any woman will claim it as a breezy collaboration with her perfume wearing peers. But at some point we cross an invisible threshold and a sisterhood effectively arrives. It was such a beautiful and creative exercise in exploring how sisterhood looks, sounds, enters a room and the qualities she bears for others to enjoy. I certainly hope that in your workspace, networks or circle of friends, you’ve had a chance to experience her
Writing Prompt:
Spend seven minutes describing Sisterhood as if she were a person. What does she look like, what qualities does she radiate (both good and bad), how hard does she laugh or is she a quiet thinker. If you have more time write a litter to a person that also has many of those qualities and thank them.
